A man is dead and another is in the hospital after a fatal two-vehicle crash in East McKeesport Friday night.
Allegheny County Police reported to the intersection of 5th Avenue and Penn Avenue just before 7 p.m. Both drivers were transported to an area hospital where one was pronounced dead, police said.
The Allegheny Medical Examiner identified the man killed as Brian Jackson, 45, of Swissvale. Information regarding the second driver’s condition was not immediately released.
According to police, preliminary information shows the vehicles were traveling toward each other on 5th Avenue when the collision occurred. There were no passengers in either car, police said.
County homicide detectives are continuing an investigation into the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
