Three sentenced to prison for series of armed robberies targeting Alexandria, Northern Virginia electronics stores

Three people have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in a series of violent armed robberies that targeted electronics stores across Northern Virginia last summer, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Javon Rustin Louis Paige, 38, received the longest sentence of 16 years in prison after being sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema. Vincent Henry Kirkland Jr., 31, who also goes by Daniel Eugene Robinson, was sentenced July 15 to 14 years in prison. Brianna Mamie Oceolia Archie, 27, received 5 years and 10 months in prison after her June 17 sentencing.

The robbery spree began July 5, 2024, when Paige robbed a cell phone store in Alexandria at gunpoint, according to court documents. Paige ordered an employee to the ground, struck the employee in the head with his handgun and kicked the victim. He then forced the employee through a back door into an adjacent business, where he made both the cell phone store employee and the neighboring business owner lie on the ground behind the counter before stealing electronic devices and cash.

Twenty days later, Paige teamed up with Kirkland — whom he had met in prison — to rob another Alexandria cell phone store. The pair pointed handguns at an employee and customer, forcing them to the back of the store where they encountered the store manager. Paige and Kirkland stomped on the employee’s head and Paige struck the manager in the back of the head with his gun. The duo loaded merchandise and cash into backpacks and a trash can before Paige pepper-sprayed the employee and customer and fled.

On Aug. 13, 2024, Archie drove Paige and Kirkland to a Woodbridge business that sells and repairs electronic merchandise. Both men, armed with handguns, entered the store and ordered two victims to the ground before demanding money and access to the cash register. Paige and Kirkland struck both victims in the head with handguns, causing injuries, then loaded merchandise and cash into bags before fleeing. Archie drove them back to a Dumfries hotel where Paige was staying.

All three defendants were arrested in December 2024.

Archie pleaded guilty on March 11 to one count of Hobbs Act robbery. Both Kirkland and Paige pleaded guilty to two counts of using, carrying, and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence — Kirkland on March 11 and Paige on April 29.

U.S. Attorney Erik S. Siebert for the Eastern District of Virginia announced the sentences on Thursday, along with Reid Davis, special agent in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office’s Criminal Division; Kevin Davis, Fairfax County chief of police; and Peter Newsham, chief of Prince William County Police.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Natasha Smalky and Megan Braun prosecuted the case.

The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration, eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protecting communities from violent crime.
