
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three teens were arrested Wednesday after an Armed robbery of a puppy in north Lincoln, police say.
Around 3:50 p.m., officers were sent to a home near 26th and R streets on a report of an Armed robbery.
Two people, including one armed with a gun, approached the victim and pointed the firearm at her, according to LPD.
They stole her 3-week-old puppy and drove away in a vehicle driven by another person.
Investigators got a description of the vehicle and pulled it over in downtown Lincoln just after 4 p.m., police said.
The puppy was unharmed and returned to the victim.
A loaded handgun was also found in the vehicle.
Caden Wenzl, 18, and two 17-year-old boys were taken into custody on suspicion of several charges, including robbery and possession of a stolen firearm.
Wenzl was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail and the two boys are in custody at the Lancaster County Youth Services Center.
