Man shot in the face, killed in Central City, police say


NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A man died Wednesday evening after being shot in the face in Central City, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Officers responded around 5:30 p.m. to the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Liberty Street after receiving a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries.

Police have not released any information about a suspect or possible motive. The investigation is ongoing.
