Paulding County deputy arrested, fired after ‘domestic dispute,’ sheriff’s office says


ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A Paulding County deputy is now behind bars after a domestic dispute between him and his wife, authorities say.

The sheriff says it was not easy to arrest one of their own, but the safety of citizens is the number one priority.

5-year-old shot in DeKalb County, officers say

DeKalb County police are investigating after a 5-year-old was shot on Wednesday afternoon.

Police initially said they were investigating a “tragic death” but would not say how the child died.

The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to the home of Deputy Terry Scott McAdams after a family member called to report a “domestic dispute” between a husband and wife.
