5 people hospitalized in multi-vehicle central valley crash


LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metro police are investigating a multi vehicle crash in the central valley.

According to LVMPD, the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. near Decatur and Charleston.

Police say a white pickup heading north on Decatur clipped a burgundy sedan. When the driver of the pickup tried to avoid hitting the sedan they hit a red pickup head on.

5 people were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time but are reportedly non-life-threatening, according to police.

LVMPD report speed and alcohol have not been determined to be contributing factors at this time.

Officials say Decatur is closed in both directions. Drivers are asked to avoid this area.
