Death investigation underway after woman’s body found on the side of Nashville road


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Metro Nashville Police homicide detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead on the side of a road on Saturday morning.

MNPD said the woman’s body was found by a man walking his dog on Knight Valley Drive near Harding Place.

Officers arrived at the scene just before 7 a.m. and located the woman’s body off the side of the road. MNPD said her body was covered by a garbage bag.

The woman’s body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to be identified and determine her cause of death.

“Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward,” MNPD said.
