Tulsa police say one person is dead after a fiery crash near 15th Street and Sheridan Road.

Investigators say the driver was heading east on 15th Street when the vehicle left the roadway, crossed a grassy area and slammed into the building. The car caught fire after the impact.

A passerby called 911, and officers arrived to find the passenger trapped inside the burning vehicle. Emergency crews pulled the passenger from the wreckage and took both occupants to the hospital.

The passenger later died from their injuries. The driver is expected to survive.

Police estimate the vehicle was traveling around 60 mph at the time of the crash. The cause remains under investigation.
