SEVERN, Md. — Two teenage boys were taken into custody Tuesday, July 16, 2025, following an alleged Armed robbery and a brief foot pursuit that drew a heavy police response, including a helicopter and K-9 units.
Anne Arundel County Police responded around 8 p.m. to reports of a robbery in the 8400 block of Carinoso Way. According to police, the 15-year-old victim told officers he had arranged to meet one of the suspects—an acquaintance—to buy clothing. When they met, a second teen approached, implied he had a handgun, and demanded cash and other belongings.
After the robbery, both suspects fled the area. Officers arriving on scene spotted one of the teens crossing Reese Road. As they moved in, the suspect bolted. A coordinated search followed, with officers, a police dog, and a helicopter unit scouring the area. The teen was caught after a short chase. The second suspect was identified and arrested soon afterward.
No firearm was seen or recovered during the incident. Both juveniles, 15-year-old boys from Severn, were charged in connection with the robbery. Their names were not released due to their age.
Police did not disclose whether the victim recovered his stolen property.
