Driver arrested after overnight police chase in Evansville


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Officials say a police chase that started overnight in Evansville ended in Gibson County.

Dispatchers say it started around midnight at Franklin Street and St. Joseph Avenue for a traffic violation.

They say the driver sped off and started going east on the Lloyd Expressway.

From there, authorities tell us the driver made it onto I-69 North before finally being stopped near State Road 68.

A sergeant tells us the driver was arrested; however their name has not been released.
