LANCASTER COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) – One person is dead after a rollover crash in western Lancaster County Monday night.
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was trying to stop a vehicle at Southwest 98th and Highway 6 (West O Street) just before 8:45 p.m.
“The vehicle turned south on SW 98th and later crashed near West A Street,” LSO stated in a press release. “The driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.”
LSO says that the Nebraska State Patrol, who was also at the scene, is handling the investigation into the entire incident. However, the sheriff’s office says that more details will be released at a media briefing Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
All roads near the crash scene are currently closed, and any drivers in this area should avoid the incident and find an alternate route.
