Maui police are looking for the masked, armed man robbed the Bank of Hawaii on South Kihei Road today.
A masked man armed with a handgun robbed the Bank of Hawaii on South Kihei Road in Kihei around 9:12 a.m. today, according to Maui police.
The unidentified male entered the bank brandishing a handgun in one hand and a strobe-mode flashlight in the other, police said. He ordered everyone inside to get down before he demanded money from the teller.
The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen on surveillance video heading toward Uluniu Road, according to the Maui Police Department.
Police described him as a Caucasian male, between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches, with a medium build. He wore a tan hoodie with a camouflage pattern, black pants and black shoes with white soles.
His head and face were covered by a hoodie, a gray hat, white mask and black sunglasses. The handgun has a black tip with a blue barrel and a black grip.
MPD asks anyone with information on the robbery to call its nonemergency number at 808-244-6400.
