Deadly rollover crash on Highway 99 kills at least one north of Bakersfield


At least one person died after a deadly rollover crash on Highway 99, north of Bakersfield, according to the California highway Patrol Incident Page.

The crash was first reported around 7:39 p.m. of a vehicle possibly trying to take an onramp at a high rate of speed.

According to the California Highway Patrol Incident Page, a gray vehicle rolled over just south of Kimberlina Rd. on the onramp to northbound Hwy. 99.

The Kern County Coroner was called to the scene around 7:54 p.m.

It is unknown at this time how many people were in the car. It’s also unknown whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash.
