FENTON, La. (KPLC) – The Fenton Police Department has announced that it has made an additional arrest in connection with the Second Street shooting in Fenton last week.
Assistant Chief Vernon O’Quinn says officers arrested Dannon Duane Alfred, 22, of Fenton.

He has been booked into the Jefferson Davis Correctional Center for:
- Possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of felonies
- Obstruction of justice
The shooting happened on Wednesday, July 2, on Second Street just north of First Avenue. No one was hurt in the shooting, and police have already arrested one suspect, Tavin Talbert, for attempted second-degree murder.
According to the booking information for Alfred, a bond has not been set for him at this time.
