Another teen charged with criminal homicide in deadly shootout at apartments on Dickerson Pike

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Another teenager has been charged in a deadly shootout at the Buffalo Trail apartments on Dickerson Pike.

The Metro Nashville Police Department has charged another 16-year-old boy with criminal homicide in connection with the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Janiyah Batey on June 30.

Adarian Graham, 16, joins 16-year-old Martavious Luster in being charged in this shootout. Graham has been booked into juvenile detention and is being held pending a hearing.

Luster is also charged with criminal homicide.

“The investigation shows that Graham, Luster, Demario Anderson, 16, and a fourth teen attempted to rob Batey,” MNPD said. “Shots were exchanged and both Batey and Anderson were fatally hit. Work is continuing to bring the third and last suspect into custody.”
