1 dead, 1 hospitalized in DeQuincy shooting


DEQUINCY, La. (KPLC) – A 26-year-old DeQuincy man is dead and another man hospitalized after a shooting that took place Friday night on Allen Street, authorities say.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that around 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Allen Street.

At the scene, police found Cortez Boston dead from what appeared a gunshot wound, according to CPSO.

A second male, was transported to a local hospital for emergency surgery for gunshot wounds. He remains hospitalized at this time.

Multiple witnesses have been interviewed and the investigation remains ongoing.
