COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – One person is dead after a shooting in downtown Colorado Springs.
Officers were called to the area of Pikes Peak and Tejon just before 2 a.m. Saturday. At the time of this writing, police have not confirmed what led up to the shooting but do say it involved officers:
As of 3 a.m., Pikes Peak is closed in both directions between Tejon and Nevada.
A sergeant tells 11 News the area is expected to have heavy police activity for several hours.
