Canandaigua, N.Y. — The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said a man is in custody after being found in a stolen truck with two stolen credit cards and suspected cocaine inside.

Matthew Belk, 35, was arrested Saturday at Candlewood Apartments in Canandaigua and is facing several charges, including criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to authorities.

Belk’s address on the arrest record is the same as Jackson’s Bakery on Stone Road in Greece, which was shut down last month by the Monroe County Department of Public Health over violations.

13WHAM reached out to OCSO to confirm if Belk is connected to the bakery but has not yet heard back.

He was reportedly taken to Ontario County Jail and will appear in CAP court at a later time to answer his charges.

Belk was also issued several traffic tickets.
