This Week In Concerts — Phish, Zed’s Dead, Wu Tang Clan, Lettuce and More

We’re fully into the swing of summer things now, and with a holiday weekend fast approaching the lineup of shows this week is wild! Here are some highlights:

The biggest jam band on the scene today are taking their summer tour a little farther north than normal this year—none other than Phish are coming back for their yearly extravaganza, and they’ve upgraded venues from Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to the massive Folsom Field all the way up in Boulder. Phish really doesn’t need any other introduction, as this is the biggest jam show Colorado will get to see this year. They’re legends for a reason, so get up and get weird for an evening.

For the hip-hop heads, there’s only one place to be this weekend: Fiddler’s Green! The Wu-Tang Clan have teamed up with Run The Jewels to tear up the Green on the 4th of July in what’s guaranteed to be a fiery performance. Once they’ve finished crushing Fiddler’s, head on over to Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom to catch GZA rock a solo set with the backing of funky favorites Lettuce too.

Zeds Dead are bringing the bass to Colorado for a three night stand this week, as they’ve got two full nights of music in store for Red Rocks on 7/2 and 7/3. 7/2 will see them joined by Rudimental, Taiki Nulight, Zero, OkayJake and Shosh, while 7/3 has Distinct Motive, Heyz, Onhell, Wink and HerShe on deck to tear up the decks. After all that partying, treat yourself to a holiday hangover set at the Mission Ballroom on 7/4 as Zeds Dead finishes off their run accompanied by Floret Loret.
