BROWN COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) – A 56-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a crash into a tractor, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
It happened in the 7000 block of Love Road in Brown County’s Lewis Township around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The preliminary investigation determined that a 2001 Yamaha motorcycle traveling northbound on Love Road hit the left side of a John Deere tractor that was in the road, moving a fallen tree, OSP said in a news release.
Both drivers were ejected: Motorcyclist Ricky Laws of Felicity, and a 68-year-old Hamersville man on the tractor.
Laws, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene, state troopers say.
The tractor driver was transported with minor injuries to Mount Orab Mercy.
The crash remains under investigation.
