Antioch police shot and killed a man who allegedly charged at officers with a knife Monday, authorities said.
Officers responded to a report of a man who was allegedly threatening to kill people inside of a home on the 3800 block of Osprey Drive around 7:15 a.m., Antioch police said.
The man apparently was armed and rushed toward officers with a knife, and the officers shot him, police said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.
No further details were known. The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office will investigate the shooting, police said.
