Police ID 29-year-old found dead outside KC home


KANSAS CITY, Mo. —Law enforcement investigating a weekend homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 29-year-old Rayondre Johnson, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.

Just after 10 p.m. Sunday, were called to the 3300 block of Cypress Avenue in Kansas City. 

They located a man, later identified as Johnson, suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say early information indicates the victim and one or more suspects had an interaction in front of the residence that escalated to gunfire.
