1 dead after shooting at popular Ocean Boulevard restaurant in Myrtle Beach


The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Friday night inside a popular Myrtle Beach restaurant on Ocean Boulevard.

Police responded to Peaches Corner, located at 900 N. Ocean Boulevard, around 11:15 p.m.

According to Myrtle Beach Police, an altercation between an employee and another individual led to the shooting.

Authorities say two people sustained gunshot wounds during the confrontation.

One of the victims was transported to a local hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

The second individual succumbed to their injuries.

One person is in custody in connection with the incident.

Officers remain at the scene and have increased their presence in the area as the investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone with information, photographs, or video footage related to the incident to come forward.
