HEAVENER, Okla. — A second person has died following a shooting incident in Heavener on June 11, according to officials. On Wednesday, June 11, at around 1 a.m., officers arrived at an apartment on State Highway 128 in Heavener, where they found Dylan McGee, 20, dead, and Kelsey Strickland, 21, injured from apparent gunshot wounds.
Officials with OSBI confirmed that Strickland died from her injuries six days after the shooting on June 17. A spokesperson with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) confirmed to 5NEWS that it was assisting the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police in the investigation. The shooting is still being investigated, but OSBI confirms that “no suspects are at large.” OSBI had at one point reported the woman had died, but later retracted that statement.
