Detroit police are responding to a barricaded gunman situation Tuesday on the city’s east side. Police have a home on Sirron Street near Van Dyke and Outer Drive surrounded. The exact circumstances that led to the barricaded situation are unknown, but police said it started as a domestic violence incident before noon. Around 12:30 p.m., it appeared shots were fired, but it was not clear if they were coming from police or the person in the house.
