KNOX COUNTY, Ohio — A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Knox County Saturday evening.
Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol were called on a report of a crash at 6:25 p.m. on U.S. Route 36 in Centerburg.
OSHP said a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on US-36 when it went off the right side of the road, striking a traffic sign and utility pole.
The driver of the motorcycle, 39-year-old Harry Young IV, was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
A passenger on the motorcycle was transported to Grant Medical Center with serious injuries.
OSHP said neither was wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation.
