‼️ 92 YEAR OLD MAN ARRESTED FOR RAPE, MURDER OF 75 YEAR OLD WOMAN 60 YEARS AGO ‼️
Police have arrested Ryland Headley, now in his 80s, in connection with the 1967 rape and murder of 75-year-old Louisa Dunne in Bristol.
The arrest, captured on police bodycam, shows Headley appearing visibly confused as officers inform him of the decades-old allegation.
⚖️ The case had remained unsolved for over 50 years — until recent forensic testing on preserved evidence led to a major development. Scientists testified that DNA found on the victim’s clothing and body was one billion times more likely to belong to Headley than to anyone else.
Louisa Dunne was found dead in her home on Britannia Road the morning after the attack. A pathologist ruled her death as caused by strangulation and pressure to the mouth.
Headley has denied the charges. The trial is ongoing at Bristol Crown Court.
