6 suspects arrested in connection to stolen goods in Laurens Co.


LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office reports arresting six people after discovering several stolen vehicles.

Deputies report responding to Graden Road in Ware Shoals on June 24 in reference to the location of a stolen trailer out of Greenville County.

Deputies said they also found the following:

  • Utility trailer from Greenville City
  • Two vehicles from Greenville County
  • Vehicle from Greenwood County
  • Two vehicles from Laurens County
  • Various tools and construction equipment

Deputies report also locating methamphetamine, marijuana, firearms and ammunition.

Deputies report charging the following suspects in connection with the stolen property:

  • William Bowman
    • Receiving stolen goods (Value $10,000 or more)
    • 7 Counts of receiving stolen goods (Value more than $2000, less than $10,000)
    • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
    • Possession of marijuana, 2nd or subsequent offense
    • Possession of controlled substance
    • Unrelated bench warrant for driving under suspension, 2nd offense
  • John Calhoun
    • Two counts of receiving stolen goods/chop shop (Destroying/altering a VIN)
    • 7 counts of receiving stolen goods (Value more than $2000, less than $10,000)
    • Possession of tools used in a crime
    • Possession of non-owner keys
    • Receiving stolen goods (Value $10,000 or more)
  • Carleus Fowler
    • Receiving stolen goods
    • Two counts of receiving stolen goods/chop shop (Destroying/Altering a VIN)
    • 7 counts of receiving stolen goods (Value more than $2000, less than $10,000)
    • Trafficking in meth, 3rd or subsequent
    • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
    • Possession of marijuana, 2nd or subsequent offense
    • Possession of controlled substance
  • Cassey Medlin
    • Receiving stolen goods (Value $10,000 or more)
    • Seven counts of receiving stolen goods (Value more than $2000, less than $10,000)
    • Two counts of receiving stolen goods/chop shop (Destroying/Altering a VIN)
    • Possession of controlled substance
    • Possession of marijuana, 2nd or subsequent offense
    • Trafficking in meth
    • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
  • Barbara Young
    • Receiving stolen goods (Value $10,000 or more)
    • Seven counts of receiving stolen goods (Value more than $2000, less than $10,000)
    • Two counts of receiving stolen goods/chop shop (Destroying/Altering a VIN)
    • Possession of marijuana, 2nd or subsequent offense
    • Possession of controlled substance
    • Trafficking in meth
    • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
  • Cody Ross
    • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, 3rd or subsequent offense
