LANDOVER, Md. (7News) — A 32-year-old Prince George’s County, Maryland man was charged in the murder of his girlfriend over the weekend, county police report.
According to Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD), Harry Lindsey of Landover was charged in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Sharita Cristwell of Bladensburg.
PGPD officers responded to a report of a shooting inside an apartment in the 700 block of Stretford Way in Landover around 3:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 5.

Cristwell was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said the suspect, later identified as Lindsey, fled the scene after the shooting.
With the help of surveillance video provided by the Metro Transit Police Department, detectives were able to learn about Lindsey’s location. He was arrested by PGPD’s Fugitive Unit on Sunday morning in Capitol Heights.
Police believe Lindsey allegedly shot Cristwell during an argument. He is charged with first- and second-degree murder. He’s currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections and is on a no-bond status.
