21 year-old arrested, charged in shooting that killed 1, injured another


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A Birmingham man has been arrested in connection to a July 16 homicide.

According to the Birmingham Police Department, 21-year-old De’Aerius Johnson was arrested Saturday, July 19 in connection to the homicide of 23-year-old Cameron Little and the shooting of a woman.

Police say the woman suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Johnson was taken into custody with the assistance of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in the 3000 block of 15th Street Ensley.

After an assessment of information, officials issued a murder and assault 1st degree warrant on Johnson.

Johnson is currently in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
