18-wheeler crash on Highway 6 in Brazos County caught on camera

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – The driver of an 18-wheeler on Thursday slammed into a guardrail but wasn’t injured, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened around 5:00 p.m. in south Brazos County in the northbound lanes of Highway 6 at the Peach Creek Bridge.

The impact was caught on a Tesla car camera, and it shows the semi hitting the guardrail before drifting over into the left lane shoulder of the highway.

No other vehicles were involved, but traffic was detoured as the highway was cleared.

Troopers said the driver was distracted by something in the vehicle, but didn’t specify what exactly.
