1 found dead after overnight house fire in Stockton


STOCKTON, Ala. (WALA) – Fire officials in Stockton confirmed they worked an overnight deadly fire.

According to Stockton Volunteer Fire Chief Marty Hall, one male was found deceased inside his house on Bryant’s Landing Road.

Near the Upper Bryant area in Stockton.

Chief Hall says several crews responded to a fully involved fire Sunday morning shortly after 2 a.m..

At this time, it’s unclear what started the fire. The State Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate the cause.

Hall says no other victims were involved. The house has been ruled a total loss.

Agencies that assisted included the Perdido Volunteer Fire Department and the Rabun Volunteer Fire Department.
